The B&M instructions that came with the new torque converter 2200 - 2500 rpm stall calls for B&M "Trick Shift" transmission fluid to be used. Is this transmission fluid compatible with 1968 727 torqueflite tranny's? or can I use other types of fluid? thanks

as far as i have been told, the b and m fluid is just the ford type, with extra friction additives.so you should be fine using it in your 727, i know i am going with it when i swap tranny pan and convertor next week !

Thanks andy74! Nice to hear someone else will use it. :icon_smile_big:

Hey andy74, are you going with the deep pan on the tranny and extra cooler on the rad?

i already have the external cooler on the rad,i installed it when we re built the tranny this last spring,i am going with the deep pan and filter exlension,as i believe any thing to keep the tranny cooler can only help its life!i have a 2500 stall convertor coming also, and am swapping it all at once, probably the end of february when i get back from vacation

I agree B&M Trick Shift is compatable in the 727 & has more friction additive , similar to F type
