If price was not an object and you wanted to buy a 2012 Challenger or Charger which one would you buy and which model and options?

I would prefer the 08 Challenger only came loaded in SRT.
1969 Dodge Charger 500 440/727
1970 Challenger convertible 340/727
1970 Plymouth Duster FM3
1974 Dodge Dart /6/904
1983 Plymouth Scamp GT 2.2 Auto
1950 Dodge Pilot house pick up

single- challenger srt8 6 speed.

married with kids- charger srt8

This sounds crazy but I would compare the new Challenger to the old one and would always be disappointed at the looks especially from the rear quarter view. The new Charger however, even though I hate 4 doors is a nice looking car that to me looks nothing like it's namesake and so it wouldn't be so disappointing to me from the looks point of view as it doesn't compare to a classic Charger in any way.

Plum crazy Challenger SRT8 6 speed for sure. If pc is available still.

Ghoste

Challenger, hands down.  Money no object a loaded up SRT would be in the driveway.

392 Hemi Challenger!!!! All the way!!! Black on Black with matte black 71 style R/T stripes and totally debaged other than that!!
:2thumbs:
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

J-440

Challenger R/T loaded to the max.  I'd drive it for the weekend then sell it, take the cash and then buy another 60's musclecar. :icon_smile_big:
68 R/T, 440/727 6-speed, SC G-machine...black suede

1974dodgecharger

thedodgeboys

Price not being an obstacle I would get both of them.
I would run the charger as my DD and the challenger as my weekend cruiser  :2thumbs:

TheGhost

Tough choice.  Love how the Challenger looks, but I love all the extra space in the Charger.  Think right now, I'd go with an AWD Charger.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

No you wouldn't :Twocents: plus would you compare the 12 Charger to a 69 :scratchchin:
I don't think my SRT8 has ever come up short in comparisons, infact I wish my 70 Challenger rode and drove like the 09.

Loaded hemi Challenger......no question. The only reason I would have one of those Fugly 4 dr sedans would be for large caliber target practice.

And that sentiment is what's wrong with vehicle perception these days (and why dodge won't biuild a real charger....).

My 16 and 18 year old boys (both 6 feet tall) fit in the back of our 2011 Challenger with no problems.  There is plenty of room for a family of 4  (5 if the kids are still small...).  Now if you have a huge family, a station wagon or van might be the way to go.

I might add that the same can be said for my '69 Charger, plenty of room and the kids love riding in it.

Blue Velvet

SRT8 Challenger  :2thumbs:

for me, it looks much better with musclecar spirit

Mike DC

Neither one of them.  Gimme something smaller & lighter like a Mustang.

Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
      a liberal, oh fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respectable, oh presentable, a vegetable!

That is a great reason to get a new charger, if you need to use the back seat On a regular interval. Try to put a car seat in the back seat of a new challenger(or a box of something), it's not user friendly, and no room for the kids feet unless you drive with the front seat forward.

Don't get me wrong the new challengers are super cars and after logging 50,000 miles in one i can say they are just only practul for 2  :Twocents:

The new charger Is a great looking car and runs strong and rides better than the challenger.  :coolgleamA:

If you have to ask..........................buy the Charger.  You're allready biased towards it, you just don't know it!
