What does everyone use on head bolts for sealant?........do all bolts require sealant?
I have done a search but cannot find an answer

They need sealant if you are building a GM engine , Mopar has blind holes , no sealant required just lube the threads so you get the right torque

DOH....Thanks, yes I have done Many times on GM motors!

Only bolts that do are the exhaust studs, i think its just the two most front and rear ones but ive had cases where it was more than that so i just put sealant on all of em.

Front & rear on small blocks , all on big blocks , I use liquid teflon sealer , or do not remove the studs LOL

That would explain why i had to put them ALL on my 440 after i did the front and rear and had coolant leaking everywhere  :icon_smile_big:
