installed to original interior,still need to get carpet,headliner,package tray & seat covers,but now all my screws are where they are supposed to be, so when i do replace that stuff i wont have to dig through my BUCKET OF BOLTS to find the correct screws    the rear window is just sitting there i still gotta do the body work around it.

awe yes progress   , that's a great idea to keep bolts where they belong, I sometimes do that too, the rest are put in bags or tape over the bolts with a tag & marked where they go, if it isn't obvious, in the bag they are in... I've replaced a bunch of bolts with 12 pt ARP or Westcott stainless bolts too, I'm kind of liking the look, I just have to put anti-seize on every bolt, kind of a PITA... your car is looking great

We were doing the same steps at the same time.  Got our windows in and slowing working on interior from rear to front.  Won't be working on headliner for another year or more. Keep up the great progress!!

WOW!  What an awesome chronology of events, cars, fix-ups, etc!  Killed me at the end of intro, where you had to get rid of car, though....uGGGGHHH!!  So glad to see another '68 getting a new life...awesome!  '68 Charger is my favorite musclecar!  If I ever win lottery, I will gather-up & restore any remaining barn finds/yard treasures & get them in the hands of other '68 lovers.

well then i got a 67 Pontiac tempest got it running then my mom said we were moving & the car was not comin with us ,so lost my car,my older brother was still freinds with our old neighbors that owned the jj1 gold charger & he wanted to buy the car & so did I ,mom said no to me but we made a deal that when my brother was done with the charger he would sell it to me,well i knew where that was going my brother tore up every car he ever had, i worked on that car tune up ,motor mounts, wash wax thinking that it would be mine some day,well he wrecked it all over,dents everywhere,he drank & did lots of drugs, about a month went by hadent seen my brother or car & he shows up & i ask where's the charger,he tells me it stopped running & he left it somewhere & it got towed away,so much for my dream car,a good buddy of mine had a 69 super bee that we played in the streets with & sold it to me on credit,wasent able to pay for it so gave it back to him,then found a 69 coronet h code for real cheap did some work to it got it running then mom says we are moving to dallas i said oh no,she went & i stayed here, coronet got towed off, one more lost, 1979,stayed with freinds & lived on the streets,got a job at hilo auto supply in 1980 & a customer had a 1968 gts 383 that he had taken apart & i bought it for 100.00 put it all together & had a cool car that was all mine,got a 70 road runner & painted it,that was my daily driver,about 83 got married ,sold both cars to buy a house,i wonder if the old gts still lives

I was reading back thru your thread and saw the note on the 68 GTS.   Probably a lot of people don't appreciate their looks but it would be my second car after a 2G Charger.  383 GTS, loved the one a buddy of mine had back in 69.   Think what you could do with one today!!!

i am going with the 68 camaro spoiler,i like it better & also plastic so if it got bumped it wont damage anything else.
the SIX PACK HOOD HAS GOTTA GO.

I also like the spoiler, suits the look of the car  just completes he look

rewired my neutral safety switch from the starter relay to the a518 trans & made a harness for the reverse lights that all plugs into the factory wiring,also put switches in my console for the lock up converter & over drive.
