Most of you already know that I am always looking to find a way to make an extra buck or two. My Father In Law has been printing the repair manuals for about a year now and they have sold pretty well. We have an idea for pads of paper with different Mopar and Charger designs. They are little scratch pads 4.35" x 5.5" and will have various designs at the top of the page. We can even custon design one if need be. I am trying to gauge interest before we actually start printing them up. We figured about 10 pads of 50 sheets would run somewhere in the $9.99 range shipped. I'm not taking orders now. I'm just looking for feedback. Good idea? Bad idea? No smart remarks please.

I think it's a great idea! :2thumbs:

It means I can stop writing on the backs of envelopes and my hands. :D

Usually just snag the free mini-pads hotels give you (since I seem to travel quite a bit in the last few years), but a MoPar themed pad is something I'd definitely buy for myself.  :yesnod:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I have some orders if you start doing them.

Hey, at least that way you don't have to make a 2 am trip to the Piggley Wiggley when she asks you to pick up some for Aunt Flo. :D :2thumbs:

I'm pretty excited about the idea. I think I have already convinced myself to do it. Now I just have to come up with some design ideas. I think we are going to try to have about eight different designs to start. I am open to suggestions. This is something I am looking to move pretty quick on. There won't be much turn around time. I have a couple of ideas already. If you have an idea submit it. If I use it I will send you 5 free pads when we get them done. I don't need the actual design. I only need ideas.

my one suggestion for a design is the Super Bee logo

Already on top of that one!

I think I also need to talk to ChargerBill and see if he might be willing to let me borrow one or two of his ideas.

Good point....I'm going to consult my attorney on Monday. Surely approval can be obtained. There's too much stuff already out there.

Telvis

I received an initial opinion from an attorney friend this evening. It look like as long as I don't portray the company in a negative light I am okay...........The plan pushes forward. 5 free pads for every idea used. Hopefully I can talk Chargerbill into letting me use some if his designs. I would also like to put this web address on at least some of the pages. I guess we will see what happens, Send your ideas...........they are greatly appreciated.

I like the idea of a R/T stripe down the left/right hand margin w/the Charger logo across the top of the page.

Or maybe alternating ghosted images of the different model years as a background?

How about at the top of some have "Charger"  and the symbol and/or "Charger R/T"?

Another idea is very lightly on the background of them had dead on front shots of different years. So all you see is the front bumper, grille, emblems?

Good idea. That's what I'm looking for. I have a catch phrase for every sheet already figured out. I appreciate all ideas. You guys are famous for creativity.

Hey Telvis, would you take S.O.'s If so how many do I need to buy to make it happen ? I would like to get some for my site , I am putting a members package together and that would be a great package stuffer.

Also,
Is there a way for you to make a 1st gen pad a 2nd gen pad and a third gen pad ?  That way not every page has the same car. Like for third gen just use 5 different cars supper bee then a 71 then a 72 then a 73 then a 74 back to super bee and so on.

Telvis

I may be able to work something out. There are some limitations. Email me at t.kubajak@insightbb.com and we will see what can be done.

I would consider using The Challenger and Challenger R/T logo since the new Challenger concept is getting so much attention.

1970 Challenger convertible 340/727
1970 Plymouth Duster FM3

1983 Plymouth Scamp GT 2.2 Auto
1950 Dodge Pilot house pick up

I have considered it. I have a catch phrase in mind that I am putting on all of the pads. I am considering doing as many as 16 different designs to start. I'm at least doing 8. I called my art guy today. Hopefully he can get them done pretty quickly. They won't be elaborate designs. These are scratch pads after all. Every color ink I use will add to the cost. I looking for simple but cool if that's possible. We will see what happens. This isn't going to make me a millionaire. It's just kind of a fun idea I think.
