Does anyone know of any good engine builders in central Pennsylvania?  Anywhere near Harrisburg, State College, or Altoona if possible, but I'm willing to go outside that area if there are good recommendations.  I have a 1969 Charger R/T with the original 440 magnum.  The engine was rebuilt in 1990 but the speed shop that did the work is no longer in business.  I'd prefer to have a the engine rebuilt by someone who has experience with MOPARS but any reputable engine builder would be fine.  Thanks.

I don't know anyone around there but unless you're doing something real special any reputable builder could do it.

There is a really good shop around here but he's not the cheapest around. Used to do some nascar engines from what I understand and he's been in a couple Engine Builders competitions. I've had him do some things for me in the past and he treated me pretty good. Lives just up the road, his shop is in Bellville, Oh.

Ryan Johnson at Shady Dell Speed Shop, State college, PA    All he does is mopars.  Probably one of the best small block builders in the country, but does all mopar engines.  He doesn't advertise...doesn't need to.  Just google the shop and he does have a nice website.  He built me a 470 HP, 500 lb/ft small block stroker that is awesome.

In Harrisburg, Go directly to Ray Barton!!!  He is known for the fastest Hemi's however he re-did an Indy 505 for me that became perfect! Forget about other builder's and go with the best. Good Luck
