My Charger is going to be shipped to Wisconsin a year and a half after I bought it!   :punkrocka:

They're going to pick it up around the 20th of this month. I'm using Kiwi's Karriers out of Washinton State. Cost, $1200.00 from the Kingman AZ. area to a hour north of Milwaukee, Wi. on a open trailer.

I can't wait! I feel like a kid at Christmas   :boogie: :boogie: :boogie:

i was wondering, wth is taking so long?

Making sure I had a good place to put it out of the weather, finding good deals on parts and that fact that I wanted to be caught up on a few misc. bills 1st. And trying to keep my Blazer on the road. As long as it has taken, this actually works out perfect for me as far as the timing.

Either red, black, or hemi orange. I actually am leaning towards the orange, but paint is a long way off yet. I have to get it running first. And RD, the guy I got it from is a friend of mine. He lives in the desert and has about 14 different cars and trucks in his yard.

So why not tell us what you have in store for it? 440 or 383? Auto or 4spd?

It has a 400 engine, and for now, I am going to stay with that. Was originally a 2bbl, but the person I got it from installed a edelbrock 4bbl intake, and I got a factory 4bbl carb for now. I still need to install new lifters. The guy I got it from has already rebuilt the engine in the car except for the main bearings and the cam. For the next few years, I just plan on running the 400 with a 750 edel carb.(eventually), windage tray, Engle K54 cam, TTI Headers Ceramic Coating with Thermal Barrier inside 2-1/2" dual exhaust with X pipe, Dynomax 17748 Super Turbo Mufflers & stock converter, 727 trans. w/Trans-Go TF2 shift kit and changing the stock open rear end to a sure-grip 3:73 OR 3.91. If I figure right, should be about a 100HP gain ???  I'd love to make it a 4spd car, but I will only do that if I can get a factory 4spd console. And thats not important right now.

And of course, all plans subject to change. :icon_smile_big:

Congrats Dude!

I guess I'm one of the lucky few. I found mine in SD and had it picked up by one of my crews returning from Oregon. (small detour) Total cost from SD to Milwaukee.... Zippo! Did the same with doors from New York, Fender from Mass. and Hood from FL.   (All opportunity & timming)

By the way... The picture is what the car looked like when I got it... Still working on it and will post when its completely done!!!

I like black cars too, but right now I own 2 black vehicals and I used to own a black '78 Aspen R/T. And black looks great, but is a pain to keep clean. So I want a different color although I'm not ruling black out. But Hemi Orange is on the top of my list right now, but I like E5 Red, C7 Plum Crazy, B5 Blue (the '71 & older version), and 'F7 Sherwood Green ('72 color) also.  But as I have said before, paint is a few years off for me right now. And because I have limited funds, I may have to paint the car a few areas at a time. Like doing the interiour at one time, then the trunk and under hood the next, then the exteriour last. But it will get done.

:boogie: :boogie: :boogie: I just got a phone call today after work, which was TOTALLY unexpected. The Charger is being picked up tomarrow 8-11-05!!! 8:30am Mountain time in Golden Valley AZ.. This is a week and a half early! I guess another car pickup they had fell thru in L.A. So they called to see if they could pick it up tomarrow so they have a full trailer coming East. So you guys between Arizona and Wisconsin, keep a look out for my car. I guess the guy picking it up has a dually pickup and a 3 car open trailer. Mine will be on back.   I should have it this Saturday or Sunday!

YESSSS, Charger Fan, I will have pics too!     :icon_smile_big:
