So is anyone here besides me watching Game of Thrones? I've NEVER been into any of that fantasy stuff (Tolkien, etc), but I started watching the show last year thinking it was some sort of medieval historical drama. Turns out it wasn't, but I got hooked on it in the process and now season 2 just started last night.

I heart Khaleesi Daenerys.  :drool5:

EDIT: I haven't read the books, so if you have, I'd kindly ask that you don't throw any spoilers here for those of us who havent.

Me and the wife have been watching it since the first episode.   I didn't read any of the books either, but I really like this show.

WOW I am out of it . . . never heard of any of those shows.  I did see a Dexter series in the store but have never watched it?  I guess I just don't have time for TV.   :shruggy:
Tomorrow is promised to NOBODY . . . .

No HBO at our house but my daughter bought the DVDs for my Christmas present as well as the 4 books that are out. Just finished season one viewing last night and all four books weeks ago.
Now I have to wait for the last book and this season's DVD release.

Shameless is another great show. William H Macy is perfect for that role (remember the Canada rant?) and the kid actors are really good too. And of course, theres the hot black chick and Fiona  :drool5:

Been watching  since the first episode last year and have been hooked ever since.

Yea, Daenerys Targaryen is easy on the eyes. Last season it seemed she was naked almost as much as she was clothed.  :2thumbs:

I have not read the books either and was shocked when they chopped off Neds head, he was a great character.  My favorites now are Peter Dinklage ( Tyrion Lannister) and Kit Harington ( Jon Snow).

Woops, spoiler alert.

Breaking Bad is one of the best shows I've ever watched, and I was digging Sons of Anarchy until it turned into a soap opera with Dyna Glides.

Sorry about that. That was last season, and I assumed most people who watch the show watched it already.

I'm thinking that all you non-readers realize that the author is not afraid of killing off some main characters ::)

Although I don't think it would be a spoiler to mention that everything that gets killed actually stays dead (not just the wights :eek2:).

Thought I would bring this thread back as Game of Thrones is back this Sunday.   :2thumbs:

For those who have not seen it, this is a great series from HBO, right up there with Band of Brothers and Deadwood. Blood, boobs and be-headings. . . whats not to love.

I'm ready to see the young king get what he deserves.   He just doesn't appeal to me that much.

About the only reason I watch is for the gals. :drool5: :drool5: :popcrn:
