So that dash VIN tag has been re-rivetted yes?

Looks like it, the Washington State Troopers would probably give it a salvage title with that crummy rivet job.

Yeah, the stripe is so bad they should have just redone it instead of embarrass themselves with these pics.

plumcrazy1970

That's how they do things in my opinion. Half ass. :shruggy:

I didn't put the stripe on it..... Remember? It was an unfinished project when it left me...  Atlas finished her up rightly so, but I would have left the stripe off since it was a stripe delete car ( ads to the mystique I think ). I was still flip-flop on the top. Prior to the trade, I probably would have put on a white top to compliment the original white interior, but if I would have wanted to sell it like they are, black would have been the choice....

TUFCAT

That stripe application is the worst I've ever seen....makes me wonder about other stuff they may have messed up? Flipper hacks!

Ghoste

Hopefully whoever put that stripe on gets sent back across the Rio Grande, it would be interesting to know how much the single offer is they have on the car.  Only two weeks left to pay 150k for it and then you're out of luck.

Mytur Binsdirti

When it sells, I know that there will be many here who will be bummed out because they lost the auction, however, 150 large would be just about the right amount to get me to part with mine.  :2thumbs:

And my stripe is in the right location.  ;)

Ghoste

Perhaps, there's nothing like an auction to give a guy an instant appraisal.

plumcrazy1970

Troy did sell the 68 all ready painted?  Because they said they painted it. :Twocents:

Yes, the car was painted as seen when I had it. But, in their defense, they don't mention they did it, only that it was wet sanded and buffed ( true, it was when I had it done ).

The car looks great. I'm glad they finished what I started. I have spoken to Atlas recently and gave them all the receipts from the motor build and all my pictures I took over the duration of the car's restoration while in my possession. They have my number and anyone interested in the car can freely call me. I believe they are going to address the stripe..  :2thumbs:

She's come a long way from the days when I was "waiting for the day"...... Little did I know what the future had in store for me......

You have to take into consideration that the '68 still needed a lot to do to call it "finished". I had to pony up my former '69 Charger 500 as well.....  But, yes... There were some pedigreed Mopars in the deal.....
