recommend a good points/dwell/tach?

Long story short- after chasing down a supposed idling issue, I've come to the conclusion that my old Sears points/dwell/tach meter is dying (I watched it jump from a idle speed of 750rpm to over 1200rpm several times- the engine ran smooth in that time and I checked my connections but it didn't help).

Any recommendations?   I'd like something that can work on both a old points ignition as well as a electronic ignition (I'm running a Pertronix setup).

Had one @ the house for years and years, when it died I just found another on ebay........... cheap too.

Guess I'll have to try Ebay.    Going to the local car parts stores, I usually got a blank stare when I tried to describe one of these things.    I did find one at Harbor Freight... what a joke.    The tach said I was running a screaming 13 rpm at idle.   As flaky as my old one is, it still reads more accurately....

i have a snap on mt926 I bought new 30 years ago that still works perfect. Its the one in the middles of this auction.
