My favorite funny car has always been the '69 Chi-town Hustler.

Ah yes, the offset motor / driver car
Driver sat more to the left side of the car, and the engine was offset to the pass side of the car.

As far as I know this was the only one to use that style chassis

Yup,but I lean more towards the super stock cars.

XS29L

For super stock cars it's the Dick Landy '68 Hemi dart.  A guy named John Friel ran a '68 Hemi dart awhile ago I thought that was a wicked car also.

I love Dick Landy's B-body cars best.  The Mr. Norm SuperCharge series of funny cars strike a chord with me too.

Agreed, But I lean more torwards the 62 to 65 era super Stock stuff. But  the AFX cars and funny cars are my favorites , followed real close by the Hemi A-bodies.

Not really got much into the Altereds or rail dragsters ,,,, then or now.
Although watching some of the drivers of the Hemi altered cars,,, it had to take  balls of steel to strap yourself into one of them back then.

And I don't follow the modern cars or teams at all. after about 1973 -74 time frame I lose interest.

Sorry. Nobody here likes old racecars. Especially if they're Chargers. Lame.

Same here, I hung on with them a little longer than 73-74 though.  Sometime in the mid 90's when they all became rounded caricatures of whatever car they were supposed to represent.  I'm sure fans said the same thing in 65 when the "funny" car term was coined but these things today just barely look like a real car.  They aren't just funny looking they're vastly different looking.
The Don Schumaker maga team and John Force mega mouth turned me off too.
Sadly now, Pro Stock is also going the way of the aero styled homogenized look.
