Transmission 'options' questions

The following questions relate ONLY to 1969 model Chargers.

1- When factory-equipped with a 440-4v, what automatic transmission(s) could the car get?

2- If more than one trans model was possible, what factors dictated which trans the car got?

3- Anyone got photos of such a setup from underneath, preferably a concourse/correct restoration or survivor original car?
I need to see what a totally proper, factory-equipped 1969 Charger 440/Auto looks like from below.

Thanks in advance,

John

All big block cars got the 727 automatic, no other options. Each transmission was built for a specific installation and given a specific part number. In the case of a 69 440-4 Charger the correct number is 2892093.

The cast aluminum transmission case was never painted so the correct finish is no finish; the pan was bare stamped steel so it usually started to rust shortly after installation.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Thanks for the info.

Would you say the attached photo is about how the 727 for 1969 should look?
