I have 70 charger and a 70 power steering column. But it's like an inch to a 11/2 inches short of the of the splines of the gear box. Is a 69 column any longer? Thanks for any help!! :shruggy:

shouldn't be - The column may have collapsed and is now shorter than it should be

the column shift arm is mounted to a sleeve that collapses when in an impact. It sounds as though yours has met its end. I have heard of folks trying to repair the two with melted plastic (which is how the factory did it) or the safe "hose clamp" route.. I scored another column on here for I think around a hundred bucks..
