Yeah I have seen pics where roof skins were cut off wrecked cars,  :shruggy: I don't know why they done that, maybe someone will chime in.

I emailed the guy to see if he had documentation proving it was used by WB. I'll update after I hear back from him.

Might be along the same lines as the Bullitt Charger. Lots of circumstantial evidence saying yes, but no definitive proof saying it is.

Geeze... I thought you were joking but here is a quote from the ebay ad:

" the guy that we got it from has talked to the guy that built the cars for the show  and he said it was used on the show  the story goes that it was sent to a junk yard in the 90s in calf  and was never crushed and a guy in altlanta brought the car and was sold to a guy that we brought it from   i been on a lot of sites and and found out that the story is true "

Hey

I  was joking  , like his listing ,its a joke  isn't it ??

The Valuzat brother's had to buy a wreck back from a junkyard , because they decided to display it , which did not make the W.B real happy , after that,  they had to remove anything from them that would identify the charger as being a General lee .

Not sure if the roof cutting continued once Ken Fritz took over the build for 6 months in 81  , or if they did this once the W.b did the builds in house ,  there where some General's buried ,after they where run over with a Cat dozer .
