Well I finally found my original bumper jack from my Charger - It was grey mechanism and base. It still has that funky little "caution when jacking" sticker on the base too...     I am going to throw it up on E-bay but I was wondering if you guys think I should restore it first (paint it blah blah blah) or put it up as is?

Also - is the Charger jack used on other models? Or was it Charger only?

68-70 Charger only & a restored piece brings more $$ IMHO

Ah - OK -   sounds like that's the plan then.

Anyone know the average selling price? I searched here and saw people saying anything under $300 is a good deal.  opinions?

I personally would prefer "patina" over restored perfection.

Throw a couple of pics of it up here. I'm still trying to find the proper base to fit my jack. The jack I have that came with my car does not fit (wrong shaped opening) into its accompanying base.

The base should be black on a 68. The rest you have right. Im almost certain of it , but not 100%

I'm not buying either. If I happened to find one at a yard sale for a few bucks, I might grab it. Until I reach the "more money than brains" stage of my life, I will not be spending $200- $300 on something that I will never use.

I'm with you.  I need one but I'm not paying those stupid prices in todays market.  I have other bills that come first.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

All over the map really.  If you are at a big swap meet and there are several of them they seem to be in the hundred dollar range, on e-bay they go plural (hundreds).

What is the date code on the mechanism?

Too much effort. The hydraulic floor jack that has been in the trunk since late '86 still works just fine. I think I'll keep it.
