no it doesnot snow from sept till june in colorado. we get more sunny days than miami. not alot of rain. the high country gets tons of snow but in denver not alot. and when it does snow here. it melts in a couple of days. love it here. born here and not leaving

There are lots of cities that get more rain (inch total per year). What Seattle has in "often" rain, but the volume per day is usually light. The rain isnt really all that bad. What gets to you is the overcast skies and high humidity (solid clouds for weeks on end, with no sun in sight). In Seattle they actually report "sun slowdowns" on the traffic reports. Yep - The sun pops out for a hour or two and traffic backs up from everyone looking at it.
WTF is that orange thing in the sky?  

I still remember my cousins from Kansas visiting and the sky was solid overcast (featureless solid gray) horizon to horizon as it often is. The looked up and said what the hell is that?!

Now I live in Jacksonville Beach, FL.   It's near Jacksonville, and there's a beach allright.
