I just got done reading the whole thread on this car and damn what a awesome ride this will be when its finished!

I had always wanted to see what a 392 with the 6 speed tranny would look like in a 1970 Charger. My dream car would have been very similar to yours. But alas mine will probably remain a dream at this point as life keeps on happening.

After all the bumps you have had along the way the delivery of the finished car will be an emotional one for sure.

@ White And Red.. Paint scheme will be different. Going with a different color.. Drip rails/moldings have been shaved. The tail stripe will be different and have decided to add a supercharger. AS kind of a tribute to my dad that I lost in February licence plate may be  2L84U2C.

@ Bigdsul... Thanks buddy...It truly has been a lot of trials and tribulations during this build that started over 4 years ago. I would like to think I know what I was doing when I started but in all honestly I had no F$$king idea. I have way more money in this project than I could have dreamed. I got in way over my head before I even knew what was going on. You see an idea that you like and it only cost an extra 500$.. Well I have done that about 50 to 60 times during this build and it adds up quick. Even though I am not doing the work myself and I am paying to have it done professionally, I have put a lot of blood sweat and tears into this project. I work in finished product manufacturing for Tropicana Products here in Florida. I put in a lot of overtime to fund this project. I lost a very good friend who passed away far to young and never saw retirement. When that happened the wheels started turning and I just wanted to have some of my retirement now cause we all know tomorrow is never promised. Whatever your goals for your car..Just keep grinding and it will happen. If I had to do this all over I am not sure I would have went this route, the finish line is near and I will be happy for my Charger to be completed.

Memphis was the 392 hemi a new crate motor or pulled from another car? And was it the same for the transmission?

I was looking into getting a motor and trans pulled from 2 wrecked cars to put into a charger project that never came to fruition.

My ideal car would have been to do a resto mod on a 1970 charger with a 392 hemi and 6 speed trans with all around disc brakes and upgraded suspension. The idea was to keep the car looking original outside and inside as well with modern amenities under the hood and car. Needless to say it was an idea that never left the chalk board

@ Bigdsul..I bought the motor from Arrington performance It was just a factory crate motor. I got the transmission form the local Dodge dealership.

@ White And Red...I am stuck between 2 different colors and have  to make a decision soon as it is almost ready for paint.
