I'm going to be using all autometer gauges in a custom cluster in my 74 charger. The speedometer cable itself for my car is a different style however. Does anybody have a name of a place which makes custom speedo cables that I can get for my car with the correct ends?

The '66-'67 Mopar and many GM car cables will have the correct 5/8" thread at the top and 7/8" thread at the bottom.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

:iagree:

yeap some aftermarket clusters use the same 66/67 Mopar speedo wires. ( equus gauges is one of them )

I just had one made for my 68 at a place called ISS (Instrument Sales and Service) here in Portland for $23. One day turnaround and it fits great. http://www.instrumentsales.com/ There are three other ISS stores in Seattle, Phoenix and Denver.

I just bought mine from Mancini. Got the right length (63") and fits like a glove. I'm very happy with it.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.
