The wheel lip mouldings on the Chargers... How were these attached to the car? Should they be screwed through the wheel lip or was some kind of clip or retainer used to avoid rust starting at these points? If it makes any difference, I'm asking about a -68...

Would be reeeeally nice if someone could post a couple of pictures...

No pics sorry, but they are screwed onto the aperture.

For what it's worth, I bought a repro set for my Charger.
They are made with a thinner, tinny type metal but they look fine and are nice and shiney.
Gotta love a '69
