1) If you retired from one job and took another, you're not retired. You are employed.
2) If you've been unemployed some time in the past, but are now working, you are employed.

So far, I am surprised at the high % of self-employed/biz owners. Good to see.

Was a general contractor for 20 years building houses/condos. Saw the reccession coming 6 years ago, took a job offer with a commercial developer. Now a job super. Took a 30% pay cut but but often wonder how much I'd be making if I was still building houses. The last three guys that worked for me that went out and started their own business all failed.

Im with Brian, used to work for HAL, now work IT for a media company. Got tapped again on the shoulder 2 years ago and never left, fell into another internal position, Best job ever.!

 ;) guys don't shoot me,been selling General Motors parts for 29 yrs-9 days,retirement date is march 1st 2013.notice how i'm counting them down.afl/cio members have a 30yrs and out with full pension benefits so i'll be 51 yrs old when i retire.maybe then i'll finally have time to finish my 71 challenger and start looking for another 69-70 charger or what i really want is a 69 1/2 super bee A12 CAR.  :drool5:

If HAL hadn't stole my real pension benefits I'd be at 30 years by then and would probably think about doing the same...   Best of luck to you  :cheers:
