Do you leave them in the box, do you put them on a shelf, do you put them under one of those transparent covers or do you go all out and put them into dioramas?

Depends.
Some I have are displayed still in the boxes, others were opened & are displayed but the boxes are saved. And, others are tucked away still in the boxes.
Gonna have to thin this out someday...

Mostly in boxes in or on various shelves.

Some diecasts didn't come with clear view boxes so I've put a few in acrylic cases...   most notably Franklin Superbird and McQueen / Le Mans 917.

For us our 1:18 scale die cast is part of our "car show setup". We bought one of those little 12" battery powered display carousels. It gets perched on the air cleaner and the die cast sits on top and slowly rotates. The folks love it and it draws attention to the car. We've never once had anyone try and grab it etc.......prolly because I have a quick draw evil eye. :smilielol:
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

I keep mine on my computer desk but at car shows, I put it on the console. People like it because it looks so close to the real car. Both are shown below.
My 1969 Charger. RIP......Rest in pieces.

RIDELIKEHELL

I have them in glass cabniets we bought at IKEA years ago in the house. Also have a whack of them in the original boxes till the garage is finished. Will be sure to post pics down the road of them in the man cave :2thumbs:

Love the garage. I am more of a hot wheels kind of guy. And not those stupid ones with wings and lasers and whatever other crazy shit they come with these days. All the real cars. I just need a display case for all of them. Never opened.
