We've all seen the rebop car bodies Challenger, mustang ect...  What if dynacorn made a Charger ( I,d like a '68 ) would you buy one and what would you do with it ?  Clone a 500 or Daytona ,OE type resto , Pro touring  what do you think??    :popcrn:

IF I had the money, I would probably do a pro-street Daytona. Always wanted to try that. I also want to widen the quarters 2" per side and the fenders 1" per side and slam it to the asphalt. Hell yeah!

No, I wouldn't.  The only way to title it would be either with some form of "aftermarket" title such as state issued or one stolen off a dead Charger.  Either way to me it would be a fraudulent car.

XS29L

No more fraudulent than all those fiberglass streetrods that you see EVERYWHERE .  Stolen vin # ? No way ! I'd be glad just to have a new no rust ever body to work with. A state asigned vin wouldn't bother me one bit.

Ahh.......to buy a totally new 69 body, and build it just the way that YOU would've ordered it in 69 OR in 2012........ Ahh......the dreams!
Wait..........that IS what I am doing.........building my true 69 to the way I would have ordered it were I alive in 69!!
I wish Mother Mopar would build a EXACT body of the 69 with all "modern day" creature comforts for the 50th anniversary car, I will start saving JUST IN CASE!!!

Ghoste

A lot of those street rods have made up numbers but if you were trying to sell me one as an original whatever because the title says so, just with reproduced everything, then my position is the same on them as well.

XS29L

I never said anything about passing one off as the real thing. I would like one to build for MYSELF not to sell to anyone . Have you looked at the price of a rust free body lately ? I totally agree that the value would never be close to an original charger , so what ? My point about fiberglass street rods is this ,they are not an "original" but are still a car that car that can be greatly enjoyed by the owner. You can do anything you want to it cause your not altering an original. I'll bet all those folks that own a Factory 5 Cobra are having to much fun to worry about resale value.

Assuming the titling issues could be squared away, absolutely.  I'd love to have one with modern guts.
