Let's start with what setup you have. Original 69 1/2, 70 up or reissue?  :scratchchin: (There are differences.)

Early production 70's have (69 1/2) rectangular metering blocks in the outboards that are different than the "six sided" ones used in later units. (I found out the hard way as mine were bent.) The clutch type screwdriver for the screws that hold the metering blocks in place can be gotten from NAPA. Also there are tiny cork/rubber sealing tubes that fit into the bases of the outboards idle mixture needle seats that are not normally included in rebuild sets. They can be gotten from Chicago Corvette as many parts are similar to the Chevy Tri-Power setup.  :2thumbs:
  Good Luck!!

I just re-built a buddies 340 6 pack. make sure you use the good blue fuel bowl gaskets. his had the crappy thin brown gaskets. 2 of the 3 carbs were leaking so badly, I couldn't stay in the garage for more than a few minutes before my eyes & lungs were burning!
