What color is this part supposed to be?

I am looking at the plastic piece behind the arm rests on the doors and in the back seat.  Mine are faded plastic and really do not have a color.  I am thinking of painting them black since my entire interior is black but wanted to see what others have done and if they are happy with them.  Let me know if you need to see a picture of the part.

chrome.

:iagree:

Those are supposed to be vacuum chrome plated.  I'd be interested to know what they look like painted black though.  Might work well, if you're doing a custom interior??

Can someone post a picture of the chromed plastic piece so that I can see what it looks like?  I may end up going with black anyway but I would sure like to see what it is "supposed" to look like.

If you are not going to chrome them, I would do them in argent silver.  I did mine that way and they look very nice.

Hear is a partial pick of the arm rest with a new chrome bezel, can't see all of it but it is chrome plastic.
They also sell a chrome paint, I have tried it, it will get you buy for a driver of until you can get a set chromed.

Here is another pic. I replaced the old painted black ones in my car with the correct chrome and it really sets off the interior.

I have some pics of the black at home before I pulled them out that I can post later.
