I've got a 70 Satellite that originally had a bench seat that now has the 70 bucket seats...the problem is, they won't go back far enough.. so I'm seating way too close to the steering wheel. Does anyone know if the mounting holes in the floor is different for the bucket seats? The seat moves freely and has been greased up...just seems to be "mounted" too close. Thoughts?

How tall are you ?  I'm 6'2" 250# & not exactly short or skinny, I don't have any problems, I changed from bench seat to a set of buckets in a 68 RR they have basically the same floor pan, I did have to drill the inside 2 holes for each bucket seat mount though....

I'm just 5'10...but yet when the seat is all the way back I'm still uncomfortable and too close to the steering wheel. Hmmm..  :shruggy:

I do have a 14" Tuff steering wheel that may be the big difference, I'm not sure...  Maybe the seat isn't going back on the track all the way, I do drive with mine, with the seat all the way back all of the time...
