After the fact I realized I should buy more to create a large city scale race in my basement. They were sold out by the next day.

Post pics of the track piece ends. That looks like generic track sold under the Artin and many other names. I have miles of that track. One is a simple  butt type joint with plastic clips to join the pieces together. The other type is a quick snap type connection. I have lots and lots of both types of track.

Years ago when my nephew was five or six years old, he was left in my care for most of a week while my sister and brother-in-law drove out west for his deployment to Iraq. For that week, my whole house was covered with so much slot car track it was a challenge not to step on it. I'll bet I had a dozen power packs plugged in to keep it all running. It was good times for sure, but man it took another week to get it all put away again.

Nope. Those conductors are too skinny. The track I have has sheetmetal conductors about 3/16" wide.

oh well, i found a track that is the same. i think its tyco mabey. the one thats tan colored and off road trucks ran on it.
