Stripes for sure, could always take them off if you don't like it (if you go decals) but I vote stripes!!

I vote yes on the stripe too. With those long quarters, they almost need 'em, whether and RT or not  :Twocents:
Plus it will look great with those black wheels.

Jason

I'm thinking the same, those long quarter panels need stripes.  Beautiful car.  :2thumbs:

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

Forget the black stripe. Put an 01 on the doors and then...   :stirthepot:

I think it will look great either way...but as far as the typical onlooker, a stripe will definitly set it apart from other vintage cars. Its just an iconic symbol of Mopar. You rarely see muscle cars outside of Mopar with a stripe. People see that stripe and they immediatly associate it with rare vintage muscle car. I think stripe. Do the decal...that way you can take it off if you decide otherwise.

oldguy, 15x7's on the front and 15x8's on the rear...... they are Crager brand from summit.

I run those on the '67 in 17x8 front and rear.

No stripe... maybe if it was a 318 auto or something common. But being a 4 speed base model charger it is quite unique already. A strip just means a wannabe R/T.

I vote for the stripe.  If you like the stripe, go for it.  No need to put RT badges on it either.  I plan to put white 71 RT stripes on my 73.

I vote stripe!  :2thumbs:    Beautiful car and great idea with the racing wheels and tires!   Look forward to the after pictures.

Equally good either way. When it comes to beauty, chargers look so much better than anything on the road, it doesn't matter which model it is or what colour or whether it has stripes or not. The "clean look" is highly regarded by many and the charger has the lines to back it up. The colour of your car supports this as well. That said, when it comes to the "muscle car" image, the more scoops, stripes and emblems the better. I think you need to look at what image you want the car to project over the long term.
My 1969 Charger. RIP......Rest in pieces.

Stripe

I went with the same D-window wheels, but with the black center cap. Black or chrome look good IMO.

Be differant go the white stripe.

Oh yes,it's got to have stripes.

Brass

I keep going around and around with myself on that question too.  Not sure...  but for now, I tend to prefer stripes with a vinyl top – otherwise no stripe.

bakerhillpins

I personally like the stripes. For me the 68 stripe is my favorite. If I could order a car it would be a Blue car with white stripes and no vinyl top. Now that being said I own a stripe delete vinyl top car.

I just love the Chargers...  :drool5:

With the black roof and wheels its just the right combo for the stripe against the yellow, go for it  :2thumbs:
And it will increase your 60ft times straight away too   :icon_smile_big:

( disclaimer, owner of a 68 R/T clean top, S9 stripe delete car which is staying as it is.)
I put a white stripe on my old 68 RR1 white top car and it just gave it new life straight away
