Poll: What is With Women and Hot Flashes ???

This is for the old guys, you young guys have something to look forward to.

What is with women and announcing a hot flash? I get it. Yes I know. You have my sympathy and support. But do you have to announce it ??

At all sorts of parties/public gatherings/events, as well as in the office and supermarkets, I now routinely hear women pretty much announcing "it" when it happens. I guess I'm old school, meaning I think "deal with it". At an event last night I must have heard, loud and clear, "ohh hot flash", about a dozen times over 3 hours.

What happened to keeping it private? Is this a social trend that when one female announces they all feel free to announce?

My wife has done it a couple times, now I notice her friends are announcing, and now it's everywhere, I hear complete strangers in public announcing it.

So what's the trend out there like for you guys?

Guys can get them too. But it's a sign of something serious. I was getting them bad, so I went to the doctor over them back in 2007. Found out my testosterone levels were in the critical zone as my body wasnt making it anymore. Now I get "fake Testosterone" shots in my upper butt ever two weeks. I have to get them the rest of my life. In men, it controls out cognitive functions. Without testosterone, you'll die.

I think women announce it because they're just jealous that guys can belch the loud enough to vibrate the water in a glass & fart strong enough to ignite nose hair.

it's there hormone imbalances that give them hot flashes and it can happen at any age . wait till she gets to menopause . that's where my wife is at . there hormones go nuts

When my wife first became menopausal she went out and bought herself a cardigan. That cardigan has become her best friend, she takes it with her everywhere.

It's one of those things, like when women spent the past 40 years leaking, now they burn up or freeze. I've found it best to keep a low profile, add some more sand bags to my protective redoubt, make sure there is chilled chard in the fridge for her, man-up and hide.
