Was curious if anyone knows if this has been done before?  I can buy the newer challenger for 12000 with a hemi in it. Does anyone have a guess how much putting the skin of the charger on the challenger body would cost?  Guestimate is fine. Any if would help!!!!!!  Email me if you can help directly. I'd keep the Challenger and do it to a 4 door Charger

Exactly. Why waste a nice-looking car when you could improve the looks of a homely one?

If you're doing this to get yourself a heavily modernized '69 Charger, then it's not a bad way to go about it.  Swapping the whole lower half of the car can be less total effort/money than individually retrofitting a modernized drivetrain, suspension, dashboard, etc, into the '69 body.

If you're doing this to avoid the high cost/effort of getting a decent '69 charger . . . don't.  It's still cheaper & easier to just build/buy one in the regular ways.

unless the Chally is baddly damaged but unibody still safe, or you have lot of money to spend without a real reason, I can't see any other reason to make it.

However, with money you can make anything you want, if you really want and if you really have the money
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

one of the car overhaul shows similar to "overhaulin" did that to a 68. They transplant the old muscle to the new charger driveline and modern goodies. It looked good when it was done, but after seeing that........... Ummm-Just Love the 68-70's the way the were, or transplant the new HEMI into the old iron.

Doing that doesn't make it a '69 Charger. All it means is there will be one less '69 Charger for the world to enjoy.
My 1969 Charger. RIP......Rest in pieces.
