Hi i'm looking into getting some Mag's for a 68 charger RT

I have a few questions

Where can I find me a set?

What sort of price can I expect to pay?, I want a decent set show qoulity?

''Stance'' is very important to me I would like it too look just right, So what would be the best wheel/tire set up?.

And finally if anyone has a pic of their set up, please post!..

Thank you very much for your time..

Please excuse my ignorance as I am new to the charger world.

Regards.

I wouldn't get wheel vintiques. I had a set of Magnums and after a couple of months, the black painted between the spokes started flaking off. Car was always garage kept only driven weekends.

As for size, depends on the look you're after. 15x8 on the rear and 15x7 up front looks good. I had 15x10's on the rear of my 68. They filled the wheel wells nice, but were too wide for my liking.  :Twocents:

Concur. 15 x 8 for the rear and 15 x 7 up front looks good and is a nice match for normal suspension set up.

Avoid Wheel Vintiques like the plague, they sell junk and are not customer friendly. Once they have your cash you are screwed. :Twocents:

If WV were on fire I wouldn't pee on them! When I contacted them about the paint flaking off my new 500's, they sent me a used rattle can of spray paint! Jihad on WV.  :flame:

:smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol: Apparently times have not changed, that is what they did for me also back in the mid 1990s when they first started to make them.   I was in College, they cost me allot of money, that can paint on my costum order 15x10s made me feel so much better.

For some reason I thought Yr one was selling WV?

It has been suggested to get 15X7 for the front and 15X8 for the rear for normal suspension and look.  That's what I'm after for my 69 Charger.  So what offset and backspacing would one specify for the fronts and backs.  I may look into getting them from Coker since their place is 1 block from where I work.  Before I started paying to park in the garage next to our building I used to walk in and used to run into Corky Coker every so often.  Very nice guy.

I don't think you get to chose backspacing on Magnums. It is what it is. Of course with 7 and 8 inch widths, it won't be a huge issue anyway.

The stock backspacing for an 8" rim is 4.5 inches, I think.  That's what I have up front though they should also fit in back without any hassle.  But you can also custom order backspacing through Specialty. My 15x10 rims have 5" of backspace instead of the normal 5.5 inches.

I havn't gone by Coker yet but looking at their Newstalgia wheel website I only saw the Magnum 500 in a Crager product.  I played around on the net and found some by Specialty Wheel.  They look better than the Crager ones.  The specialty wheel is all steel and made in USA.  I think they have a agreement with the Dodgecharger website to offer a little better deal than what is on the website.  Website price was something like $160-$170.  Don't recall exactly.  The center caps were a little pricey.  $38.  I see that a set of four from PG Classics is $104.  I assume that being a Magnum 500 and generic that they would probably fit.  Need to ask my local tire shop if they can balance via the lug nut holes and not the center hole in the rim as the specialty wheel requires this.

Anyone have experience with Classic Industries magnum 500s? They are $175.99 a piece. I'll look at Coker too. Thanks. Double thanks to you all here. Year One wants $209 each and Classic Industries wants $175.99 each but has none in stock. So I checked with Coker and they want $158 each and they are in stock. You all just saved me $244 with Year One, and $72 with Classic. I am in your debt and this will alow me to afford the caps now. Thanks.
