I would like to, but I have no storage space for it (nor time to work on it right now).  Whoever buys it is getting a rare one that deserves to be restored back with a /6 in its proper place.....

I would love to own it.  Just don't have the money right now as our savings account is down to the triple digits and that is not including getting presents for the kids yet.  Damn cat cost us over $1600 at the emergency vet hospital only to have to put it down. :brickwall:  Wife and I are not getting presents for each other and just focusing our money on the kids.

A little more than I was expecting, but certainly not crazy range for a fairly unrusted 68 Charger.

BTW, I've seen project R/T's in similar shape go for similar money.
That's a decent price for sure. I hope the buyer recognizes it's uniqueness and does it justice.

Not me, as I need a new family truck for wifey...  :scratchchin:

I've sold 200 items throughout the years and never had a buyer back out.  I probably sold 4 - 5 cars also.   You can see times when a seller has others (friends) bid the item up in hopes to get more money.   For a $4k sale, this should have been a done deal if it was legit.
My name is Mike and I'm a Moparholic!

Who knows?  In live auctions we get buyers who contract remorse shortly after too and look for ways to kick the deal.

resq302

Yeh, I smell shill bidding too!  Ive seen where the person selling the item has friends bid up the price to just below the reserve so the next person meets the reserve too.  Shameful world we live in anymore!

It used to be so much easier to spot and follow that nonsense until a few years ago when they went "anonymous"  ::)

Ghoste

Yeah, not so crazy about the anonymous thing myself and that is one of the reasons.

There is a '69 /6 3 on the tree car here. I always thought it was cool.
I may be schizophrenic but at least I have us!

FastbackJon

We have a '68 /6 3spd manual column car up here too. I don't own it but it's a friend of mine's car. It's probably not one of the "known to exist" cars as he's had it in a barn for YEARS. Supposed to be in real nice complete shape, just a bit of dust on it. He covered all the vinyl before he stored it.

Ebay is only concerned about the buyer, they forget that without the average Joe selling it would just turn into  the Walmart site.
I found my niche & will continue to sell till it is no longer fun, because if your making a living selling on Ebay:

1) You live in your parents basement
2) You rob houses and unload the stuff
3) Your on welfare & it doesn't matter what you make

How is that for a hijack?

I use the little I make and pay on the principle of our home improvement loan each month, if you wondered.

Does anyone have access to one of those Ward's Reports and can give us a percentage of 68 Chargers sold with a slant six?

A383Wing

I thought GG said there were only 904 made total with the 6 cyl.

Here is an "older" list of the generally accepted numbers. Obviously there is more than "1" 3-speed.

That particular "1" in the manual column was when we sent GG a copy of the fender tag from the manual trans 68 Charger that I had a chance to get back in the early 80's I think....more have come out of the woodwork now since that list was made
