Oh, and there's several threads about them - even a comparison to the Stinger in case anyone wants to research the topic. :P

I'm happy to see more and more parts being reproduced for mopars. Now
if they would just reproduce grills.

Steve from Premier Plastics just quit his day job.  '69 Grille is ALMOST DONE!  He is also making pot metal CHROMED 4-speed tops!  (from the lids of my '68 4-speed car I had)...   :)

Anyone want to volunteer their Guage Bezels (3) out of their parts car?  He will Re-Chrome them/Paint, PLUS send you a new Re-Production set...  Just will take a little time, but you get TWO useable (Show Quality) sets...  :)   He needs a '68, '69, and '70 set...

GOOD NEWS, GOOD NEWS!!!  RE-PRODUCTION WORLD IS "RAMPING-UP"!!!

When will those 4spd top plates be available? And is he going to make the console door too?

I don't think he'll make doors >?  4-Speed plate SOON (month or two)...  I have been trying to SELL him on:    "make it a complete set all chromed the same" regarding the bezel sets...

He is PLAYING with the Idea of still making a console but engineering a "Grate" underneath the rear part that always gets broken...  L&P has not done this...  Does the L&P look re-inforced in any way???

bull

That's odd that he's not going to do the console lid. Those usually don't fare any better than the plates.

I think he mentioned the lid and 3rd piece, I'll have to ask him...  Most plates can be re-conditioned/re-chromed, but the elusive 4-speed plate is RARE (holy Grail of Console 4-speed cars now)...  AGAIN:  Going with the idea of having a RESTORED set, will be a big PLUS to the buying MoPar owner...  (in my opinion)  We'll see...

He made it from my '68, so it has ribs, and he said he can fill mold for the '69/'70 version...  I would like to have one just to have one, (If I ever do the Keisler upgrade)...

runningman

Are you talking about the plastic dash piece that covers the gauges?  I have a 69 available, you can email me at bsanders@ameritech.net  thanks  matt

So he has made the part? When will it be available for purchase?

I think there are a lot of '68 owners out there who need the whole set. I have my original 4spd plate but they are almost worthless if the chrome is bad. I have heard that the ridges in the plates get rounded off in the chroming process but I have no first-hand experience of this. Also, I would assume there would be some issues with the repair of pits so by the time you count all the labor involved a reproduction piece would probably be nicer and less expensive if done right. There's also the '66-'67 application to consider as some of those parts are interchangeable.

And since I have spouted off so much about B-J in the last 12 hours, I will go on record and say that this is the positive side effect of ultra high musclecar prices.  We would never ever have seen these kind of parts being repopped 15 years ago.

Yea, and I'm sure we'll pay accordingly.

How do you like it?  How does it compare to an original?  Old parts fit on it okay??

I meant to get pictures of the original and the new one side-by-side last night but I only had a few minutes and the new one is safely packed away in the loft. I'll see what I can do this weekend but my first impression is that it's very nice.

Got mine today, I am very happy with it.  I haven't installed anything on it yet so can't comment on that part of it.  I am still looking for the nick that is supposed to be in it though.  For 159 shipped it's a pretty good deal
