Couple of questions here...

I have a new donor clock for the '69 with the rally dash. It is used, but works. The black face plate is a couple of shades darker than mine so I'm considering swapping the face plates to keep it a consistant look...

So, it that advisable? The hands look a little tricky so I'm not sure how exactly to remove them with out bending them

Also, while I have the cluster out, is there anything that I should do or check as far as preventative maintenance goes?

Also, I need to do some wiring/soldering work on the ignition switch harness plug. With the cluster out, it that going tot be easier to access or am I still going to have to get at that one from under the dash?

Thanks all!

Don't you still need to take the hands off? How do you do that without breaking them?

some of the smaller gauges use a cut down  burger king straw to slide over the needle to move it as you have to. works pretty slick.

All Done! Clock works and I was able to do a pretty good job with some soldering of some ignition wires.

I did a test and everything seems fine. Funny but my oil pressure seems higher; must have made better contact taking the wires on and off.

Now it is beer-thirty!
