Start with an internet search on what publishers publish the kind of book you've written. If it's a how-to book it's obviously going to be a waste of time to send it to a publisher that primarily publishes fiction or biographies. Then I'd check out some library books on the topic of shopping publishers. They will tell you how to approach a publisher with tips on cover letters and whatnot.

On a small scale, yes. Articles and photography work. On the corporate side, technical / safety manuals and papers. But the car stuff was always much cooler

the book is about cars. a make believe journey. i had a few people read it and thought it was really good. never done this before. i have written song lyrics that i got copy writed, but never a story or a book. so i didnt know how much you can let out without the fear of someone stealing it. guess thats where the copy rights comes into play.

yep, after checking a few sites i chose one to submit to. im presently cleaning it up a bit to get it ready. when i wrote the story, it came to me so fast with the action that was going on that i didnt even name the characters. so i have to go back and fill in the blanks. but things are looking up.
