Start with an internet search on what publishers publish the kind of book you've written. If it's a how-to book it's obviously going to be a waste of time to send it to a publisher that primarily publishes fiction or biographies. Then I'd check out some library books on the topic of shopping publishers. They will tell you how to approach a publisher with tips on cover letters and whatnot.

I would get a copyright before I'd let anyone have a copy.  Good luck.   :2thumbs:

On a small scale, yes. Articles and photography work. On the corporate side, technical / safety manuals and papers. But the car stuff was always much cooler  :2thumbs:

the book is about cars. :2thumbs: a make believe journey. i had a few people read it and thought it was really good. never done this before. i have written song lyrics that i got copy writed, but never a story or a book. so i didnt know how much you can let out without the fear of someone stealing it. guess thats where the copy rights comes into play.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

nvrbdn

ya know bull, im kinda thinkin of doin it in pieces after i protect it. that way i can get real feedback. anyway want to do something with it. so i will check some places out to see where to go next. :2thumbs:

yep, after checking a few sites i chose one to submit to. im presently cleaning it up a bit to get it ready. when i wrote the story, it came to me so fast with the action that was going on that i didnt even name the characters. so i have to go back and fill in the blanks. but things are looking up. :2thumbs:
