started bouncing with the turn signals.  Is that okay/normal?

Unless you updated the stock gauge it's an amp meter. At idle its normal for it to bounce around a bit.

Yes - I bypassed the ammeter and now I have an aftermarket voltmeter.  I know it used to do that with the ammeter but shouldn't the voltmeter read a steady 13 to 14 volts?

How did you wire in the voltmeter?  What did you connect the positive and negative points on the voltmeter to?

Pick-up the positive source closer to the main power from the Batt. Had the same problem.
