update Dec 2012..... as stated earlier, the Red bird is home and safe in its nest. I have a 40x60 shop. Our shop is not just a storage place for cars, its a "full out " workshop, .... meaning one day it may be used for storing cars, the next day it may be a "lawn mower repair shop, a truck tire swap shop a gathering place for family and friends to enjoy a "pig Picken", ( no telling what will be moved in /out or worked on from a day to day basis, ...... now thinking ahead of our bird coming into a shop used for "more than a storage facility, " I was kinda nervous about it being as nice as a car, and potentially having it damage in one of our "weekend projects" ... I told my son...."yea, I could see us using a half inch drive air ratchet ... and have big socket fly across the room and go through  the birds rear glass"So , we decided to build a special room just to house the bird. Kind of a "shield " to protect the car , with our " gung ho"hap-hazard work habits... lol...
here's a couple pics of the room before pulling the car in.
I ve always loved the black and white pic of the rear lot of Creative Industries with the penstar watertower in the back ground, so I actually had a 5ft by 8ft banner made as a back drop for our rear wall.  its visible in one of the upcoming pics ill post.

ps. I know Im gonna catch flac about the bowties(chevys)  and the ford in the background.....lol gotta love it

Very nice. Are you considered done with it and is it on the road? When do you plan to start the other one?
Have you been able to drive over to the guy you bought it from?

I love the Bird!! :2thumbs:

but you made me roll my eyes with the verbage on the signboard.

"original" miles....what other kind are there? you cant get aftermarket or reproduction miles.  :smilielol:
wingless now, but still around.

ACUDANUT

How do you now it's not 155k....I bet it was. Either way, it makes no difference. :2thumbs:

gymratt30

Original meaning 55 k not 155k...keep in mind this car was off the road since 1974....55k miles is more likely than 155k miles .....maybe it should read 55k TOTAL MILES.....?.?.?.
