Well, I went and did it...I sold my Charger.  :scratchchin: Not sure yet if it was the right thing to do, but I have 2 other projects that are going nowhere fast, and its the only way I could see getting either one of them done. As busy as I've been with kids and work the last few years, I really haven't been enjoying it as much as I'd like, and it really has just been in the way. (Boy, doesn't that sound crazy?!)

The good news is I did sell it to a very good friend, who I know would sell it back to me in a heartbeat if I ever decide I want it back. And now I actually have the cash and room to start working on one of my other project cars, a 69 Charger 500 clone that has been sitting in pieces since I bought the R/T 10 years ago. And now that I don't have a running car, I think I might be a little more motivated to actually make time to work on it....I guess only time will tell if I made the right decision, but so far it feels like I have...

Man,,, that's a great lookin' R/T SE.... It's sad to get rid of them sometimes, but you have to look at the bigger picture... I did and I have no regrets..   Good luck on the new found freedom to indulge with the next project.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I Sold my '73 4 speed Rallye, a couple of months ago so I could finish my 69 R/T (been working on it, on and off for 10 years), I was a little bummed the first couple of days, but after ordering up all the parts I needed, putting it together and driving the RT the other day, I don't regret my decision one bit.

BTW, nice 500 and 500 clone project.

Any chance you post what it sold for and in what condition? and options it had. So those of us with 69 Chargers can get an idea what the market is?  If not on this thread could you PM me seeing I have a RTSE I'd love to know what it went for.  Was it original looking?   Motor etc....
It was  :drool5: :drool5: :drool5:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Just 6T9 CHGR

If I ever had to sell mine, it would need to go FAAAARRRR away not to see it again.  I guess in your situation it could be a good thing since you have the option to get it back.....I couldnt deal with seeing mine at a local show....  sniff

PM sent. I will say I did give my friend a good price on it. Slightly modified car: headers, aluminum intake, MSD, non-numbers engine and trans, superstock springs, 3" tti exhaust, fendertag, no build sheet, color change (was triple green), added a few extra options during resto 10 yrs ago, paint not perfect, glass not perfect...car ran 12.80s with 3.23s and street tires, 12.26 with 4.10s and slicks...

I'm leaning toward white with red stripe, but my 2 other options are B5 with white or red stripe, or F6 with a white stripe...I've got a ways to go before I need to decide that. It will have a black interior though, already have that stuff...

No you wouldn't, you would sell it to finance completion of a 68 and then sell that to get yourself a nice original 69 RT.  :D
