I have been working on a 72 Charger SE for some time now. With a wife and two kids one in collage and the other one following next year it's amazing I even have a car. The car is on a rotisserie primed and ready for color. I'm just undecided on what color to choose. The car has black interior with a black vinyl top and will have black R/T stripes with the rallye doors and bulge hood. Here are my options.
1) GA4 Gunmetal this is my first choice.
2) Lime green. This is what my wife and kids like.
3) TX9 black. I love triple black.
So what do you guys think? Thanks

Dino

Always go with your first choice, there's a reason why it was your first to begin with.

It'll look awesome in gun metal with black, very classy imo.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Gunmetal definately.  You are out to make you happy since it is your project.  This eliminates the lime green.  Plus you almost never see a Gunmetal 3rd gen. Charger.  I too have a 72 SE with vinyl top and since the car has the formal roof, I'd want a contrast in colors, eliminating the black.

Just my opinion.

'Ya know, I'm really surprized nobody here has offered, or come up with a site that allows you to "paint" your car BEFORE you paint it so you can see what it looks like....

There is, I saw it a while back when I was looking for paint options for my charger.
Just wish I could remember what the website name was.    :brickwall:

I'll be repainting my '71 Super Bee in a few months.  I'm going way outside the spectrum and choosing PPG Vibrance Nutmeg Pearl.

If you're sticking to a standard color, I'd go with the gray OR Plum Crazy.  Nothing gets more reaction at shows than my Plum Crazy Challenger.

Gunmetal sounds good along with the triple black.

I wanted to stay blue as that was the origional color but wanted something sharper than stock colors. Went with HOK KBC05 Cobalt Blue.

Black is great on someone elses car , pain to keep clean & scratch free
