cam break in springs

I have installed some lighter springs on my e-heads for break in, 90lbs on the seat, @ max lift there is .040"-.045" between the coils but the damper is binding. Would I have any problems with spring surge during the break in if I remove them? :shruggy:

No, just remove the dampers.
