I took apart the 2-speed wiper linkage from my 74 this weekend to clean and paint. I didn't have my camera and thought I could remember how to put it back together. Ha ha! I just can't remember where the spring should face when placed on the crank arm shaft. Or does it mater? I know the cam fits between the spring, but where should they face in relation to the upright tabs on the metal housing? Anyone have one off their car that they could take photos of? I'm thinking this could be a valuable resource for anyone that wants to clean up their linkage.

OMG I've spent half an hour rooting through photos trying to get one for you....how about I post the FSM with blow out until I can actually get a crank arm, get some photos for you and post those?? Maybe that would help?

Hi Nacho. I read your old topic and saw how the spring sits with the cam. My question is, does it matter where the spring faces in the metal housing, or does it get positioned by itself when you use the wipers. Do I only have to worry how the cam sits between the spring like in your drawing. I still think it would be great if someone could photograph one as they take it apart. Kim from Passion for Mopars said she would. Maybe someone can beat her to it?

is pretty much straight up once plastic cam assembly is on plate and shaft... I don't get your doubt

The draw I made is an upside down view ( like on the pics the spring view is upsided down )

if you want easier assembly, set the cam inside the outer plastic ring and fit the spring, then all the assembly into the baseplate and shaft and you'll see is straight up... no place for a mistake
