the car is absolutely stunning.

this is a semi-hijack of the thread, but why i asked to see more photos. mine was a barn find from huntington, indiana back in the mid 1980's.  i drove it the 90 miles back home in the dead of winter, snowing the entire way. i had no defroster heat, no rear window, and no clue if it was even road-worthy. this is the one i still kick myself, for ever selling.

Thats true you never see a super bee with a long cluster :Twocents: .But a higher end car bigger motor they offered both clusters for 70 RT coronet. It should have had the rallye dash standard. :Twocents:

i once had a hand written accounting of the fender tag for the r/t, but have no idea what became of it over the years. the guy who bought the car from me (in 1991, i believe), was from minnesota. i've seen several 1968 hardtops with the rallye dash, but only a couple of other convertibles with it. i don't recall what other options this car had.

the '68 r/t that dad traded in for the daytona had the standard dash. when dad bought that car in early 1968 (from the same dealer the daytona came from), he says the dealer told him that they didn't even make an r/t convertible for 1968. this would have been early in the model year, but i have a vintage magazine that road tested an r/t convertible around that same time.

I thought the rally dash was an option for the 68's...its definetly not a superBee. :nana:
