Everytime I surf the internet, I keep Youtube.com on and pick songs from there. Right now I've got Joe Satriani's "Until We Say Goodbye" on. It's a live recording from San Fransicso. His guitar instrumentals really have a lot of emotion and feeling in them. Some are rockin' in the vein of Van Halen, while other's are melancholy, bluesy, etc.... For those of you who've never heard any of his stuff, check it out. It's awesome to have his CD's in the car for cruising. No lyrics to sing to, just awesome melodies and grooves.

I'm with ya on the Satriani stuff! Love it! I'm not 100% sure on this but I think I read a few years ago that Joe Satriani taught Kirk Hammett how to play guitar.

Speeking of guitar influences, The first time I heard Hony Bee by Stevie Ray Vaughan. I said "Yep! I need to learn to play guitar!"
It wasn't just SRV for me. I love guitar! That just happens to be the one that made me know I wanted to do it!

I hear ya there. I love Stevie Ray as well and his version of Hendrix's "Voodoo Chile" is one of my all-time favorites. I watch that video on Youtube all the time.
