I have my car now so maybe I should just stop looking.  :slap:  I wonder if selling the idea of a re-body helps boost its value.  ::)

QuoteThe car is currently a XPvin car, however I will also give you an extra dash-board with the XSvin, NY registration, and original receipt so you can make it an RT car.

How many guys out there think they are driving a real R/T, when people for years have been change numbers on these cars.

Which is why I am always so critical of rebodies.

I bet that car smells GREAT!! I LOVE old Charger smell, it reminds me of my first '68, which I got in the late 80's when I was 15. I hated the smell back then, but now it brings back many good memories.

In the Corvette world, the 1967 427 cars are the ones to 'clone" or fake... More 1967 427 cars on the road today than they built in '67  :brickwall:

I thought you could go to jail for messing with VIN #'s.

I'm sure he probably thinks that. If i were looking at a car and it only had a dash vin that said it was a hi-po car, I'd be very leary of  it being real. For me, it would affect the price compared to a better documented hi-po car pretty severely.

I would probably not pay much more than a similar non hi-po car that was equipped the same and sold as a "clone", all other things being equal.

The XP Hemi charger, cut out the rad support, trunk lip numbers and grafted to new sheet metal. The car was 90% AMD metal. Was that legal???
