WHITE AND RED 69

I just picked up the new royal purple hps oil. Has the zinc additive and is supposed to be perfect for performance motors. I plan on doing an oil change tomorrow to see how good it really is. Its kind of pricey but not nearly as much as the xpr line.

I run Royal Purple in my 99 4x4 Dakota & Torco Racing oil in my RR, just an old habit on the Torco, I never had a failure due to oil with the Torco stuff... Had some issues with other brands, especially when running Blown Alky Combos & diluting the heck out of the oil... No issues with the Torco synthetic or std. petroleum based racing oils, they aren't cheap...

My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

I use Brad Penn partial synthetic.  Plenty of zddp without needing an additive.  My car has a minuscule dribble at the rear main so I switched from Royal Purple.  I thought Brad Penn would strike a good balance; enough synthetic for added protection but doesn't intensify the leak.

I run AMSOIL'S new Z-ROD made specifically for muscle cars and the newer performance cars, challenger/charger/camaro/mustang. It has  the zinc additive that high performance motors and flat tapped cams most mopars run for protection. I run it in my charger and coronet and my oil pressure has elevated and my actual fuel economy is better, plus when or if you store your car the zinc and formula in it actual bonds to your engine componets for a good protection between start-ups. Brad Penn.  Can't beat the oil for $60 a case.  Has the Zinc additive and is half synthetic.

Ron suggested I use and I am. :2thumbs:

Im using the new Valvoline VR-1  synthetic race oil.  Has a nice Royal Blue color to it.    All in all compared to the original VR-1 conventional oil, it does seem to idle smoother and make the engine run a little cooler than the conventional oil.
