i assume it dosnt do it if you just rev the engine?

have you checked your u joints?

westcoastdodge

hi FLG,the u-joints are both good and well greased, does not make the noise when just revving the engine, just seems to do it when you have it under load :shruggy:
would an auto box make any sort of noise if slipping??

70 Charger RT

Take some "door ease" and lubricate your belt with it when engine idling.  Watch your fingers!  If that helps to remove your noise, them buy a new belt and adjust to proper tension.

I had the same problem. No matter how tight I made the belts, they squealed (old and new ones). I put some belt dressing on and it went away...

If it doesn't make noise from a rev id rule out the belts.

Check that your fan isn't scraping the radiator. by having a bad gearbox mount or the bolt that holds the mount in place has fallen out.
