Just got this email from Heacock Ins.
Move your car please if your along the Eastern coast. ( NY ).  :icon_smile_wink:

Coastal Flood Warning
Hurricane Irene is expected to present a major flood event
for the northeastern United States within the next 72 hours.

Good News!  We have just secured special "Relocation Expense" coverage for our policyholders insured through American Modern Insurance Company.  Temporary relocation expenses will be reimbursed for moving your collector vehicle to a safer location to avoid the risk of flood caused by Hurricane Irene.  We will reimburse 50% of your expense up to $200 per vehicle; up to a maximum of $2,500 per policy.

We believe we are the first and only collector car insurer to provide this coverage.  Feel free to contact Heacock Classic if you have any questions regarding your collector car insurance.

Oh I would bet the costs will be covered by premiums in the long run, that is very cool for the Ins. company to do that though... Good luck stay dry...

I'm hoping the hurricane destroys my house and all 5 of my vehicles. nobody else gets damage..... just demolishes all my junk.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Hope you are weathering it well down there Rob.. We are preparing for big old can of woop-a$$ right now.

Seems to me 400 bucks to move your car to central NY isn't going to cut it.   :shruggy:

Thanks, it's over and the 30/35,000.00 dollar car is safe.  No need to cash in on the 47,500.00 policy.   :'(

That's great news to hear... Was the insurance policy, a stated value policy? sounds like it, It would probably cost that much to get another car & make it just as nice...
