This part proved to be a major load of fun with a a little bit of blood shedding, took about 20 hours of hand work using a hammer, chisel, screwdriver, and a sawzall to remove this floor pan.......

Then a couple more hours with a 3" grinder to clean up all the leftover spot weld slag.......

The new Auto Metal Direct Full Floor Pan fits very nicely, it'll just need a little tweak here and there to marry it to the Firewall and do the final fitting....

Next up is sandblasting and laying on a little weld thru primer, then on to the main event, the back-half of the Charger...

Bet yer glad that's behind you!  :2thumbs: Do you sand off the black coating along all the subframe to pan areas for welding?

Neal......... The Black E-coat gets scuffed off the areas where the welding will be done, then once all of the welding is completed, I'll scuff the whole pan top and bottom and coat it with a good coat of epoxy primer.... and then seam seal everything.

That was a rough 20 hours or so removing the old pan, lot of hand work and a little blood letting as well, still have a bout another 800 hours or so to go.... lol

This is something I'm really hoping I can get started on with mine next year.....that and new trunk floor and extensions.

The project has gotten shelved since last Fall, the company I contracted to do my sand / media blasting went out of business and I had to wait to get my cash back, I've now bought a Compressor of my own and I'm going to be doing my own blasting work as soon as I get it installed and my shop plumbed for air...

I've also found a shop to do my chassis work, I just need to get time to go over and hammer out a deal them on the frame work...

every time you thing your making progress, you get set back even further...  :brickwall:
