How much work is it to modify a big block K frame for a Hemi in a 70 b-body?

I did not think it took a whole lot, if any the block is the same as a 440?  I know the heads and the maybe but I have never done a hemi swap with a stock car.

You could just buy the conversion mounts from Schumacher or Arruzza and use the regular big block k-frame. You can modify the k-frame but it's a lot of effort and unnecessary unless you are trying to make an exact replica. The factory Hemi motor mounts are expensive as well. I think the Schumacher mounts are about $240 so the price can't be beat when compared to the factory stuff.

The thing I was wondering about was the header clearance.I have heard its a problem with a stock K frame-conversion mount set up?

I think if you do the mounts that takes care of it?  Sorry I have never done it.  And my car has elephant ears to mount to the block.

Do you want to use headers or the stock/repro manifolds? I've talked to others who said the TTI headers will fit right in there with the Schumacher mounts. The Arruzza mounts place the engine a little lower in case you have hood clearance problems and I don't know how that affects the exhaust. From looking at it, the stock mounts probably hinder headers more than anything else.
