Greetings to all,
Had my '68 Charger for 3-4 weeks now, loving every minute :icon_smile_big:
I had a 7 hour drive home when I picked it up, one or two electrical glitches on the way home, hopefully all sorted now.
Only cost me £250($400) in gas to get home :coolgleamA:
Car came over from Texas about 8 years ago, the previous 2 owners here look to have done a great job with it.
One thing i'm thinking of is a passenger side mirror, would feel a lot better reversing if I had one! Is that allowed :icon_smile_question:, I know it was a 6 dollar option back in the day, or should I leave as is?
Here are some pics, will post more another time if that's ok.
Best Regards to All,
Mark

Ghoste

Welcome to the group and by all means put a passenger side mirror on there.  You will find that it's mostly for decoration though but even if it helps you a little bit then it's worth it.

Awesome charger! Welcome to the site!

Cheers guys,
So the mirror is as useful as a chocolate fireguard then

Any good places to get one if I decide to?

Sorry for the pics, don't know what i've done to make them that size.

Ghoste

Between it's position and the body lines of the car, yes, it's pretty hard to get a lot of info from it.  They can be found at a number of repro sites, BE/A is a good one.

Welcome to the site.  Nice looking car.

Welcome to the gang Mark! BE&A is a good choice for a pass. side mirror as is R/T Specialities where I got mine (a bit cheaper). Ghoste is correct about really getting a full view from this mirror. When you mount it, cover the area with that blue painter's tape to prevent any "dammits". I positioned my mirror slightly behind the wing window post so the view wasn't blocked by it. What I did after I installed the mirror was buy one of those round 2" (5cm) wide angle stick-on mirrors. As you sit in the drivers seat have someone hold this little mirror on the pass. mirror until you have the best possible reward view then stick it on! Good luck.

Isn't the drivers side (Non-remote) and passenger side mirror the same part?

It is on other B-Bodies and A-Bodies as well.

Welcome Aboard - Nice car!

Hi Scottie from a Kiwi.
Nice looking car bud, be proud  :2thumbs:  - long hunt for it or what?
Maybe a few interior shots if you could.

Over here all left hand drive cars must have a mirror on the right hand side for compliance as we drive on the left anyway. It makes a huge difference as so much traffic can hide behind that huge Pillar. I had planned to put one on my old 68 but likely the new owner will do it.

My guess is we might not be related, as my family descend from Italy  ;D
Do you know which part of Scotland you are from?

G'day Mark.
Nice looking Charger you have scored for yourself.
Welcome to here and make sure you stick around for the wealth of knowledge that this place has.
I'd put a RH rear view mirror on just to balance the car visually, but as I have pointed out in the past, they're about as useless as tits on a bull in the real world.

ps. Just be sure to spell correctly and don't call ANY car by an abbreviated name or King DH will say something.
Gotta love a '69
