Here are some pictures from last Sunday's Mopar show at the Woodburn Drag strip.  There was a car show on the side lots, and races on the adjacent strip.

The show started at about 9:00 a.m., and finished around 4:00 p.m.  I showed up a bit late(around 1), and invited my dad to come down and meet me at the show. After taking pictures for an hour or so, we went and watched some races. My dad wanted to see some before he had to leave(he had limited time).  By the time I got back to the car lot, many people were leaving.

These are the pictures I managed to get before everybody left.  :2thumbs:

Most of these pictures were quickly snapped with my Phone, and some of them were taken as people were leaving with their cars!

This one was parked right infront of us in the parking lot. The guy was in the stands watching the races, saw us looking at the car, and came down and opened the hood for me.  ;)

This one was by the entrance. Judging by a close look at the paint, this paint hasn't been touched since it was added to the car sometime in the 80's.  ;)

Am I the only one who loves these paint jobs? I think it would be so cool to find a car like this, and restore the custom graphics/paint, or just drive it as-is. You know, minus the shag/suede interior.  :icon_smile_big:

I talked to this guy for a while. Great car! He says he puts about 5,000 miles on it during the summer, but is having problems with a gearvendor OD he installed on it. He ran it at the track today, but with the GV problems it was a pretty bad run.  :'(

I wish I could remember what he said. . . something about it just hitting a wall(not moving), if it was accelerated too fast , from a stop. This happens at the end of the 1st gears. He said it works great for driving around the city.

I loved this one.  :drool5:  Can anyone tell me what kind of hood this is? details about it, etc?

This one looks a little familiar.  ;)

My girlfriend has yet to see my new '74 Charger. I got it painted Plum Crazy with metallic flake, but she is always I should of gotten it painted black(partially joking, partially not). I brought her to the show, and after seeing all the Plum Crazy cars, she now approves of my choice. Not that I need the approval.  :slap: :smilielol:

On the far right of this picture, you can see on of the new Cudas!(Challenger mod kits). I am really kicking myself for not getting some pictures of it. It was done really well, shaker hood, shark grille, side gills(Not sure what you call them), etc.

Definitely one of the more fun paint jobs of the show.   The color was all over the place. Brock's paint has got nothing on this guy's.  :nana:

Here, you can see me trying to capture it;

Could this be The Liz's ugly step sister?  :D

Funny spoiler, not sure how I feel about it.  :shruggy:

This was a sweet car. I got to talk to the owner for a while. He bought it new from the factory, with as many options as he could afford(rear defog, power windows/mirrors, etc), except for AC, because, "I was more of a racer back then, and I couldn't have it stealing my horses.

Part 2

He had a little flip book infront of the car, showing it history, and life. It now has AC, a rebuilt engine, and a fresh coat of paint. He says he kept all of the old parts, including the old heater box. He also said that, "If I wanted to I could unbox all those old parts and have this thing looking new from the factory, in a few hours."  :2thumbs:

P.S. It had some sweet 295 redlines.

This RT/SE(badged at least) car was sitting out in the back.  The fender tag was missing, or possibly taken to prevent theft at the show. What did the factory sunroofs look like? Was this one?  I took a bunch of pictures of this one, thought you guys might like it. This was on badass car.  :coolgleamA:

I'm not sure I care too much for the wheels, but this car was VERY well done. I am really loving the sidestripe. The owner wasn't around, so unfortunately I didn't get to see under the hood(It had a new hemi).  I thought the paint scheme of the grill was also a nice touch.

What can you guys tell me about this engine?(The cross-ram hemi)

:2thumbs: Looks like that was a great day!  Thanks for sharing.

The sunroof in that black Charger was not a factory one.

It was love at first site for me with this blue crew cab pickup you incidentally caught behind the Roadrunner in this pic. It was beautiful, and the top of the bed was almost at chin level on me.
